Tracy Simpson Accounting

Tracy Simpson - Accounting - Koschel Simpson Mattner

I was born in England but was very young when my parents emigrated to South Africa. After a couple of years there, they were on the move again to Australia. We started in Tasmania and then Queensland and New South Wales. The constant moving gave me great skills to be able to communicate with people regardless of having met them before.

After high school, I started working full time as an accountant while studying at night. I always had a passion for maths throughout my school years and saw this industry as a way to utilize my skills. I obtained a full-time position as a trainee and studied at night for the whole of my degree. Accordingly, by the time I had finished my studies, I had been promoted to manager level and my career was well under way.

Once I completed my degree and post graduate qualifications, I traveled overseas with my husband to work in the Channel Islands. We worked and traveled for three years before returning to Sydney. Once in Sydney, I returned to public practice and honed my management skills. After having 4 children, I decided it was time to starting building my own asset and entered into partnership with three others. We have been going from strength to strength in the business and have great plans to expand our offices and the service that we offer to our client base. I love helping businesses and have been doing so now for 25 years.

I feel that my success is due to a number of factors – hard work and attention to detail is always important. In addition, I am willing to embrace change and keep abreast of the latest technologies and legislation. Finally, I truly care for and like my clients and will go the extra mile to assist them to attain their goals which is why I receive most of my new clients through referrals.

The future is exciting and holds great opportunities. In the next five years, I have a plan to expand the business, possible taking on a further location. While I will always have a strong commitment to the compliance work that is an essential part of our business, I see myself moving further into the ‘value-added’ services such as cash flow improvement and profit growth which is essential for every business to survive.

In our wealth management division, we have introduced realestatestock.com which is a unique, analytical way of purchasing property in Australia that our client base loves. We are also part of a worldwide charity organisation called B1G1, whereby we donate to various charities through our business.
